Equipped for the Task

Have you ever felt unsuited for a task? Think about the difference between a banker and a baker. A banker has a degree in mathematics and business administration. A professional baker has years of training in the culinary arts. Throw a banker in the kitchen, or throw a baker in a bank, and youre asking for trouble! Neither is suited for the other persons role.

When you consider the task that God has set before you, perhaps you think He chose the wrong person for the job. Whatever He is asking you to do, you feel inadequate. It sounds impossible. Did you know that the Bible leaves no room for excuses? In second Peter it says, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.” When you personally know Jesus Christ, He equips you with everything you need to accomplish Gods purposes.

Perhaps God is asking you to take a simple step of faith. You can do that! Perhaps its speaking up and sharing the Good News with someone who doesnt yet know Jesus Christ. You can do that! God has already given you all that you need. He is not only mighty to save, He is mighty to provide exactly what you need, down to the smallest detail.
