Instant Peace

I once met an emergency room doctor who worked with bloody and wounded people all the time. He became cynical and hardened after doing this night after night. He told me, “I knew I was missing something. I had no peace and I hated people.” This was all before the doctor met Jesus Christ. At that point, he realized the problem was not his job. It was him. As soon as he met Jesus, he had instant peace. He told me, “Id never had peace in my life!”

Peace is one of the tremendous benefits of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. When you find peace with God, you gain peace with others. You begin experiencing Gods great peace in your soul. This is unlike anything else. In the gospel of John, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
