Strong Moral Character
Whos your hero? When we think of heroes we dont think of thieves or liars. No. When we think of heroes we think of those people with outstanding morals and character.
So, for an evangelist to succeed as a messenger of Gods Good News – and to become a true hero in Gods eyes – he or she must be of solid moral character. You might say, “I am not an evangelist, so I am off the hook!” But, my friend … you ARE an evangelist. Every Christian is a representative of Jesus Christ. Thats all an evangelist is – a representative of Jesus who tells others about Him. So, to succeed in sharing His Good News, we must commit ourselves to the highest moral standard.
Philippians 3:17 in the Bible records Paul speaking to his brothers and sisters. He says, “pattern your lives after mine.” Is your life such that you can encourage others to follow your example? Please remember that people who dont know Jesus Christ are watching you. We believers must be consistent! We must “talk the talk” AND “walk the walk” if we are to win souls to Jesus Christ. So, do it today. Chose to be like Christ and live a life of a true hero of the faith – tell the people in your life about the Good News of Jesus Christ.
