Miracle Rescue
As many of you may have heard, my family was on a flight to Jamaica that crash-landed. Our plane broke into three pieces, and ended up on the beach, just short of the ocean.
So many people said we “lucked out” or “cheated death.” But we know there was more to it than that. We explain away so much, when there are miracles going on all around us! Daily we are protected in ways we dont even realize. And we willingly ignore. We look the other way. We explain it in logical terms.
Paul writes in the book of Romans, “For since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
God has revealed Himself. He revealed Himself in Jesus. He reveals Himself in nature. He reveals Himself in the Scriptures- and in 1,000 other ways that we consciously ignore.
I could explain away the plane stopping just short of the ocean. I could explain away the giant gulley that our plane somehow missed as it barreled toward the ocean. But I wont. Because I know that God was in charge of every detail of that day. How have you ignored God in your life?
