A Crystal Goblet

A friend of ours, Carla, met a young college girl when she was speaking at a university. This girl told my friend that she was brought up in the church. Her dad was even a minister. But she said that when she went to college, she went crazy! She started playing around and partying. And now she felt so polluted, so dirty, so unclean!

So the Lord gave my friend an idea. Carla told that college girl to find a beautiful crystal goblet. She said to look at the goblet and say, “This is the way God made me: beautiful, spotless, wonderful.” Then she told her to get some mud and dog doo and mess up the goblet; fill it with garbage and look at it and say, “This is me, because I rebelled against the Lord.”

Finally, she told her to clean up the goblet. Disinfect it 100%. And look at it again and say, “This is me now, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. His living water can flow through me because I�m clean.” Isn�t that a great approach?

God says in Isaiah 1:18, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” People all around us are walking around feeling like that dirty goblet. They don�t have any idea how fantastic being cleaned up 100% would be. Someone should tell them. Maybe that someone is you!
