Preach the Word

“Evangelism is social action.” Do you agree with that? I strongly believe that since the problems of society are caused by humans, conversion is the best way to solve them. Without conversion we don’t have changed lives; without changed lives we don’t have Christians; without Christians we cannot influence society.

Simply put, when people are converted, they can’t help but affect their world in positive ways.

But in order to have conversions, we need to touch the conscience of ordinary Christian and remind them that evangelism is not optional. Some say, “Well, evangelism is fine for you, but it’s not for me. That’s not my gift.” Yet the Lord Jesus told all of us to go and evangelize the world.

In II Timothy Paul says, “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season.” That means we need to be ready and available to speak the truth at all times.

Lets you and I be the kind of Christians who take the Word of God seriously when we’re told to spread the Good News. It’s not optional; it’s a commandment from the Lord.

Remember, the only way to see change in your family, neighborhood, community, or world, is to introduce people to Jesus Christ.
