The Only Way
You and I, my friend, talk a lot about the fact that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, because many people today discount this truth. There seems to be a watering-down of the Good News. People think it’s arrogant to assert that there’s only one way to Heaven.
In their minds, they can’t see how everyone is given an equal opportunity. They ask, “What about those who die in remote places of the world who have never heard the message?” How do you answer that?
When responding to this question, I like to quote the patriarch Abraham. In Genesis 18 he says, “Will not the judge of all the earth do right?” Of course He will! God makes no mistakes and He’s completely just.
Also, remember St. Peter in Acts chapter 10 said, “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts men from every nation who fear Him, and do what is right.” Don’t worry about God. He makes no mistakes. There will be no injustice in eternity.
In other words, God knows the heart, and on the basis of the cross of Jesus Christ, He will deal justly with all people. Our duty is to continue spreading the Good News Gospel to the people in our world. We’re called to assert the uniqueness, universality, and truthfulness of Jesus Christ.
So, don’t be ashamed to boldly proclaim that He is still the only way to the Father! There simply is no other way, so you might as well say it.
