Spiritual Focus

God has given us a Great Commission to share His Good News with all nations. He has even placed the Holy Spirit’s power inside each of us to help fulfill that purpose. There is only one question left to answer: How do we do it?

The most important way to answer the call is to love God. It is the greatest commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and with all your strength” [Deuteronomy 6:5].

I find the best way for me to tell God I love Him is to sing about it. It’s much easier for me to say “I love you” to the Lord in a song – to tell Him things in music and worship that I wouldn’t normally say in a prayer or conversation.

How do you tell God that you love Him? Whatever your method, take time today to communicate your love to your Heavenly Father. Tell Him that you love Him with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. It’s the first step toward fulfilling God’s one holy purpose.
