Are You a Christian?

I was born in South America. If you ask someone there, “Are you a Christian?” you might be laughed at. That�s because most of them believe everyone is a Christian.� And in Europe, you�re likely to hear, “I was born in England, of course I�m a Christian!”

Often in the United States people will say, “I�m SORT OF a Christian.” Well, that is like a woman saying, “I�m sort of pregnant.” No. Either she IS or she IS NOT pregnant. It is the same with being a Christian – either you ARE or you ARE NOT.

So, what IS a real Christian? Do you know? Jesus makes it clear so that we do not have to guess. In the book of John in the Bible, he says, “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life and will not be condemned.”

It is quite simple. Do you believe in – do you TRUST – Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life today? Have you accepted His free gift of eternal life? If you said yes, then you are a child of God! And you can boldly tell the world, “Yes, I am a Christian!”
