Power in Unity

Are you wondering how to be an example of a Christian to your world?� Do you want people to notice that there�s something different about you?� One of the most powerful ways to show Christ�s love is by being unified with other believers.

Jesus tells us this in John chapter 17.� He�s praying for those who believe in Him, and says to God the Father: “May they be brought to complete unity, to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them, even as you have loved me.”� Jesus puts it so succinctly!� As we walk in unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ, the world will know that Jesus came into the world to love, forgive, and unify!

Now, even though it�s a simple command, you and I know that it�s not always easy to love our brothers and sisters.� I�ve heard it said:� “I have no problem loving God – it�s people I can�t stand!”� That�s why Jesus prayed for unity.� He knew that as we practice unity, people will see His Spirit in us.� Why?� Because the world is full of back-biting, bitterness, judging and unforgiveness.� So when people see you sincerely loving and forgiving others, they are going to take notice.� As you and I choose to love and serve in unity, we will shine Christ�s light to our world.
