Life’s Questions
The other day I was speaking to a group of business people. I told them that every human being, at some point in his life, asks himself these questions: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? What’s the purpose for my life? And the only one who can answer those questions in depth is Jesus Christ.
I told these men and women that the Bible teaches that we’re created in three parts: Body, soul, and spirit. The spirit is the side of us that has the capacity to know God. When a person opens their heart to Christ, they suddenly come alive to God. Until that moment you feel dead inside because you are dead – spiritually. You feel empty, lost, and in darkness.
The Bible says in Ephesians 2 that we “were dead in our transgressions and sins.” But the moment you open your heart to Christ, you come alive to God. And, you are alive at last because Christ lives in you.
Do you know someone who is asking these deep questions about life? Without knowing Jesus Christ, they will never be able to adequately answer them. Only through a relationship with Jesus, will they receive the answers that give peace and meaning to their lives. Who in your life needs to hear these life-giving words? Find a way to get to them.
