At Christmas time, I like to remember those people whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ. That’s the whole purpose behind Christmas, you know. Jesus said in John 10:10, “I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full.”
Let me tell you about one fellow whose story I recently heard. He was only 17 when he came to one of our crusade meetings in Bolivia more than 20 years ago, and was converted. He was the first Christian in his family.
Through the years as a result of his conversion, more than 20 of his relatives have come to know the Lord Jesus. Today, this young man is an evangelist, helps pastor a local church, and teaches at a seminary.
Changed lives–that’s what Christmas is all about. That’s why Jesus came down to earth as a baby. He came to save sinners. So this Christmas, let’s rejoice over our own salvation. Then let’s pray for those who have yet to discover that the baby in the manger is the Savior of the world.
